Inspo for the play cloth

The play cloth is to have a repeat design on it, evoking a magic feel and incorporating motifs of Uma and the wizard. This cloth is to be used with all the story books (forest, under the sea, space, etc). The book is going to always start and finish the same ways just with different adventures and meeting different animals in all the different worlds he 'pops into'. So the cloth needs to be simple and can work with each story.
We will use the tablet to draw the motifs so they all have the same aesthetic and stay with the same colour palette which will be used through out all the stories.

Inspo designs

 We were thinking the cloth could have a printed side and fuse a softer fabric to the other side so it can be multi purpose and cuddly to use as a blanket.

 Block motifs with drawn textures to create depth and an interesting print

 The print needs to be multi directional so it can be used for all different things.

 Patterns background with motifs on top looks very effective, yet simple.
