Children's development research to inform our product

Seeing as we can not test our product on children or ask children questions about what they would like or prefer because of Massey ethics, I have found an academic paper of research which has already been carried which we can use some of their research to back up and inform our product further.

"Where's the bear? Over there!' creative thinking and imagination in den making, Written by Natalie Canning.

Our product leaves creativity open with a few guides into what they could do with the play sheet but through trial and error, the child can find what they like to do with the play sheet and further it with exploration.
Our book gives a platform for creative and imaginative play to be explored while making connections to the storyline
Our events where children can come and play together to create/use the play sheet is a great idea as this research says that 'creativity is often explored with two or more children playing together'
Our story book meets three forest characters but like these children, we hope children can use their imagination to further the characters they meet
