The
Book
-
Great illustrations!
-
There are definitely similar books around
that include encouragement in helping others but none that include accessories
-
The whole package would be great for story
times at the library.
-
Could you consider a ‘parents page’ that
talked about why it is important for make believe and imaginative play? Like
sending a little informative message. Also include a ‘how to’ for parents i.e.
how to use this pack for 3-4 year olds, 5-6 etc?
-
If the book could have a hard cover and
plastic pages that would be ideal for long wear and tear.
-
Could there be a Maori story when you make
more stories? There is a real gap in the market for interactive Maori stories
with accessories especially.
-
Wellington people love to back things that
share in their story so what about a Wellington themed book or aspect? Also
this will tighten the market for that product.
The
whole package
-
We would definitely stock this here! For
renting out and to use.
-
From a library perspective it needs to be
durable as well as a quality product.
-
Agree with the alternative ribbon idea
instead of elastic as it could be brighter and more engaging and also will wear
better.
-
Could you add a soft toy to the extra
accessories?
-
Very impressed by the design and the
quality.
-
Could you get it scotch guarded?
-
Could you change the colour of the bag as
it’s very light and would get dirty quickly.
Marketing
-
Could you create a social media character
for Uma? Like Uma went for a bike ride today as an example and have a little
picture? That’s a fun way for people to keep interested and follow alone.
-
Have you looked into Unity Books and
Children’s Bookshop in Kilbirnie? They sell good quality products and
always-stock creative pieces.
-
Moore Wilson is also somewhere to stock it.
-
How would the library stock this on the
shelves? Could it be boxed so all the pieces can stay together in a way that
best represents the product? Otherwise the library might put it in a plastic
container with a label etc. Then we can add information, ID numbers etc in a
good place on the box.
-
When it comes to your pitch and selling the
product pitch it to places that will buy it in bulk! Like libraries so then the
smaller individual sales will come later once you made a lot of the money and
where a smaller income won’t effect the process of getting more.
-
Could you offer bulk buying places to buy
10 and get a discount?
-
For publishers look in Gecko and Book
Island.
-
Libraries will love to buy. In-home
childcare? They will have ‘toy kits’ and this product would go great in those.
Wellington has a Nanny College look into that too.
-
Advertising your product through the story
time section of the library would be a cheap way of getting the product out
there.
-
If you did crowd funding could you offer
that if you raised a certain amount you would donate a bunch to hospitals? Or
schools?
Overall
the product is great and we would definitely stock it here! Keep us in the loop
if anything happens J
